Sweet and Painful William Dire Wolff - 2013 Did you ever try to love somebody But it just don't work out right? They always ask you (to) stay on over But you never spend the night. (Such a) Cute little thing So sweet and painful, uh-huh Slipped through my fingers Like sand in my hand, uh-huh One day, well I went out walking I just wandered down the road There was no mumbled, "see you later." No good bye tears were told. (Such a) Cute little thing So sweet and painful, uh-huh Slipped through my fingers Like sand in my hand, uh-huh When it came to lovin' It was always something good When it came to being together It was never like it should. You know I still dream about her But I never can go back There'll be no wedding Sunday Just a long soft gown of black. Cute little thing So sweet and painful, uh-huh Slipped through my fingers Like sand in my hand, uh-huh

Summer Magic 05:20
Summer Magic W. Dire Wolff Summer Magic hey I say it’s real Summer Magic it’s something I can feel You say it’s madness; hey I say its love You say it’s sadness; hey I say its love You say it’s loneliness, hey I’m lonely too. Everybody’s lonely, so what can we do? Ain’t life tragic when you’re down on the street You don’t find magic from none of the people you meet. Ain’t life tragic when you’re down in the crowd Up in the attic, it’s the only time you’re singing loud’ You say it’s madness; hey I say its love You say it’s sadness; hey I say its love You say it’s loneliness, hey I’m lonely too. Everybody’s lonely, so what can we do? Summer Magic hey I say it’s real Summer Magic it’s something I can feel You say it’s madness; hey I say its love You say it’s sadness; hey I say its love You say it’s loneliness, hey I’m lonely too. Everybody’s lonely, so what can we do? Summer Magic Summer Magic Summer Magic

French Toast 03:50
French Toast By: William Dire Wolff Six pounds of sugar in a cotton sack Strand of barbed wire runnin’ down his back Heard him talkin’ before he did say He mumbled something and then faded away He finally solved a riddle That once he had figured wrong. Tammy tucked a turtle underneath her arm Tommy taught the teacher about spinn’ yarn Davey picked a daisy In a a parking lot He was drivin’ uncle’s humvee Until he got caught He was huntin’ down the Aces But he only got a shallow grave. 2 - Cane wasn’t able, to work the sugar mill Tammy wasn’t ready, But Davey was trying still Six pounds of sugar in a cotton sack Half a week’s pay and an achin’ back He finally solved a riddle That once he had figured wrong. Davey headed home, underneath that flag Six rounds of ammo, in a shopping bag Tammy and the turtle, headed for the coast With a sister named Pierre And some fancy toast She finally solved a riddle That once she had figured wrong. She finally solved a riddle That once she had figured wrong. She finally solved a riddle That once she had figured wrong.

Dinner in Deadwood By: William Dire Wolff Green, green money Bright Shiny dimes, I like it salty But I chase it with limes, Motor's running She needs a ride, (To the) big green mountain By the cool waterside. Took a back road from Tulsa But we ran out of gas down by Abilene She took the money I took a ride, Dinner in Deadwood Eggs in a dive. Cody's callin' like a lonely ghost wind, There's a girl there dancin' For the money I'll spend. Took a back road from Tulsa But we ran out of gas down by Abilene Leavenworth was calling But I was still diggin' that Wild West scene. Bridge - Everybody's dancin' - And runnin' around Red lights flashin' - As the lights went out Sirens louder than a screen door slam That's when I slipped her on over, and slid her right into overdrive. Then along come a feller That I once saw down in Mexico His gold wasn't yeller But it was still pretty good I was told. I didn't come here for trouble Just looking for a man about some money owed, His gold wasn't yeller But it was still pretty good I was told. I didn't come here for trouble Just looking for a man about some money owed, His gold wasn't yeller But it was still pretty good I was told.

Kentucky Line By: William Dire Wolff I know a girl 'cross the Kentucky line Think 'bout that girl 'bout all the time Gonna row my boat 'cross the river soon No more howlin' at the big blue moon Cuz she wants some lovin' And I want some lovin' she's gonna make love with me I know her Ma's gonna like me good I always practice manners just like I should Always down front in the Sunday class First in line to kiss the teachers as (a good boy should) Cuz she wants some lovin' And I want some lovin' she's gonna make love with me As for her Pa, now he's too quick Or as for me I'm not so slick Tell him, "Sir, I'll treat your daughter nice" He looks at me just as cold as ice Cuz she wants some lovin' And I want some lovin' she's gonna make love with me I drove her in my pick-up to the covered bridge Darker in the holler by that big blue ridge I listen to her stories just like I should Remember everything just as best I could Cuz she wants some lovin' And I want some lovin' she's gonna make love with me Now she loves me about every night That darn woman treats me so dang nice Every night I try to do the things I could To say and do the things a good guy should Cuz she wants some lovin' And I want some lovin' she's gonna make love with me

Trail Dog 02:46
Trail Dog By: William Dire Wolff Another bad day at the old gas pump One more gallon and my cash was sunk Didn't look up, but I still could see A pretty country girl with a truck like me. I drive from the mountain to the valley wide I see her in the forest on either side So tell me friend if you ever do see A pretty country girl with a truck like me. She's just another girl with a pick-up truck But I'm sure she's got brothers and a lot of luck And I'm slow movin' So I'll just keep toolin' along.

Last Night I had a dream That you, were chasing me By the parlor fire Making pillow talk past three Didn’t go far, wanted to Something, somebody always blocking you Can’t complain about it cuz I kind of like the color blue We’re in love now Alone inside this Dreamland Hold me closer, say the words I long to hear Old enough now, alone inside this dreamland Pillows by the fire, with morning drawing near Talking by the fire, Noone around The beating of your heart, the fire crackle sound You move a little closer But it’s a G rated movie this time We’re in love now Alone inside this Dreamland Hold me closer, say the words I long to hear Old enough now, alone inside this dreamland Pillows by the fire, with morning drawing near You’re a dream girl lost in a dream (That’s how dream girls go) Everything changes around in a dream (Where did my dream girl go?) We’re in love now Alone inside this Dreamland Hold me closer, say the words I long to hear Old enough now, alone inside this dreamland Pillows by the fire, with morning drawing near.

about

Sundance Jump reflects the "Northern California Jam Band" sound; or also called "psychedelic folk rock". The guitar based Folk and Rock n' Roll songs are accented by the classically trained electric violinist. The album begins in Wolff's folk/rock ballad style with various extended jams, winds through jazzy tones, highway rock, hippiebilly hoedowns, and then ends with one song that is sung in Japanese.
