Ally Are You Okay? © 2019 W. Dire Wolff
Hey Now Ally, are you okay?
You’re my number one girl and I want it that way
Hey Now Ally, I got the time
Come cry on my shoulder one more time
Come cry on my shoulder one more time
Hey now Ally I love you so
But your mama ain’t here and daddy don’t know
Come little girlfriend don’t you cry
Hold me close and dry your eyes
Chorus
I like your music with the lights down low
I like your dancing just moving slow
Coo to me, my little dove
Your voice is low, but your eyes scream love
Chorus
Everything seems so down
Everything seems so gray
Let my love shine on down
Let me be your sunny day

My Tent Burned Down

My Tent Burned Down © 2017 W. Dire Wolff
Death Guild Girls, Thunderdome was rocking
Death Guild Girls, They’re not waiting on the Man
Death Guild Girls, A diva there for stalking
And then my tent burned down at Burning Man!
Now they threw me from the temple
For praying with some smoke…
They took that incense from my hand
And then my tent burned down at Burning Man!
Death Guild Girls, Thunderdome was rocking
Death Guild Girls, They’re not waiting on the man
Death Guild Girls, A diva there for stalking
And then my tent burned down at Burning Man!
They took me down easy on the bus
Put the X spot on my hand…
You got to have family, you know you must
When your tent burns down at Burning Man!
Death Guild Girls, Thunderdome was rocking
Death Guild Girls, They’re not waiting on the man
Death Guild Girls, A diva there for stalking
And then my tent burned down at Burning Man!

Donna Juanita © 2019 W. Dire Wolff
Desert night, I was called there
But with the morning, came the sun
Just the sand, nothing grows there
Just the snakes and rabbits run
And from the mesa she calls
Where the cities are built into walls
Across the Playa she flies
Just Donna Juanita and I
From a top of the cactus she calls
As a crow she appears to us all
For like the phoenix she flies
To sing the sad desert cry
And from the mesa she calls
Where the cities are built into walls
Across the Playa she flies
Just Donna Juanita and I
The only commotion is a cool desert breeze
The only sign is the sky
Sun burns my thirst, but I crawl back again
To Donna Juanita and I
Desert night, I was called there
But with the morning, came the sun
Just the sand, nothing grows there
Just the snakes and rabbits run
And from the mesa she calls
Where the cities are built into walls
Across the Playa she flies
Just Donna Juanita and I

Come to this Mountainside © 2018 W. Dire Wolff
We’ll never come down from the mountain above
For the water’s too deep and there’s never enough.
We’ll raise our cups to the drops in the sky
Gather the children, but never tell why.
There’s nothing laid out, the cupboards are bare,
And that gray smokey mist still hangs in the air.
Now all the people have gathered around
They ran from their cities, they fled from their towns.
All of these people have come here to try
To live here together on this mountainside.
Rise up people, we’ve come to this mountainside
Traveled across the desert and fled from the rising tide.
Rise up people, we’ve come to this mountainside
Got to live together, Live as one new tribe.
We couldn’t save nothing but an old kitchen sink
All the places were flooded, but not safe to drink.
Then the fires they started with no cops around
The looters they wanted what didn’t burn down.
Now we gather together on knoll above the mob
With nothing to spare for rich men to rob.
The crimes they are plenty and the debts they are high
And the fires of their cities still burn in the sky.
Rise up people, we’ve come to this mountainside
Traveled across the desert and fled from the rising tide.
Rise up people, we’ve come to this mountainside
Got to live together, Live as one new tribe.

Three Little Stars

Three Little Stars © 2018 W. Dire Wolff
Three little stars in the night
Guide my way, by their light
Three little dreams up in my head
Now I lay me in my bed
Now I lay me down in your dreams
Where things aren’t what they seem
Now I lay me down in your bed
But those three little stars are in my head.
Three little stars in the night
Guide my way, by the pharaoh's light
Three pyramids in the sand
Blown aside by the servant’s fan
Three misty mountains where prophets learned
Three misty fountains where youth was earned
Three stars to bind us, by the grace of light
Three stars to guide us, can you see them tonight?
Three little stars to guide us
Three little stars to bind us
Second to the right, straight on ‘til morning
Second to the right, straight on through…

Zodiac Killer

Zodiac Killer © 2018 W. Dire Wolff
Told you all about Delilah in Black
Panther in the corner, scissors in the back;
Told you about Delilah cruising down the street
Another pretty woman’s packing all the heat
Long Tall lady walking down the street
Stacking up the Bodies of the Boys she meets!
Chorus
She’s a Zodiac Killer
She’s a Zodiac Killer
She’s a Zodiac Killer
She’s a Zodiac Killer and
She’s going to put her X on you.
Cruising down the sidewalk, where Delilah walked before
Working on the corner, coming back for more
Cruising down the sidewalk, sitting at the bar
Drinking pink martinis, n’ talking to the stars
Long Tall lady walking down the street
Stacking up the Bodies of the Boys she meets!
Chorus
Cruising down the sidewalk, sitting at the bar
Drinking pink martinis, n’ talking to the stars
Long Tall lady walking down the street
Stacking up the Bodies of the Boys she meets!
Chorus
There’s a moral to the story, but I’ll look the other way
Samson met Delilah in a story far away
What’s your sign baby? She’s heard it all before
My sign says, “open”, but she’s not knocking on my door
Long Tall lady walking down the street
Stacking up the Bodies of the Boys she meets!

Johnny’s too Young

Johnny’s too Young © 2019 W. Dire Wolff
Another sad story or something like that
About the days of glory when times were fat
Suzie riding shotgun, Tracy in the back
Johnny’s too young, for something like that
There’s a war in the desert that’s got to be won
Going to buy me a pick up when this war is all done
Suzie begs him to stay home, have some fun
Johnny’s too young, but he’s got a gun
Out on the highway on a Saturday night
Passing it my way, but the driver stayed tight
Stoner’s on the highway with the music loud
Highway’s clear ahead cuz they just got plowed
Truck on the shoulder, it sure looks bad
Tracy in the corner crying sad
Heard a voice crying, “She’s all I had”
Johnny’s too young, to see the bad
Lights on a small bay, but the wipers fouled
Roger in the driveway, gunrack proud
Drove it in sideways thru a drunken crowd
Heading to the tavern, just to make it loud.
Hanging on the Johnny to leave a little stamp
Sliding to the music, she does another vamp
Tracy back with Tony, putting on an act
Another sad story or something like that
Back at the Dew Drop, Roger found the door
Finished off a double and had two more
Hanging on the tailgate, looking for the door
Shouldn’t be driving, if he couldn’t find the floor
Reaching around the front seat, bending Suzie’s ear
Tracy calling to her, Wind too loud to hear
Headlights on the highway and still drawing near
Passing in the turn lane, Hearts filled with fear
Didn’t see it coming, headed for the ditch
Red eyed demon killed a little witch
Wrong lane driving made a little switch
Saw the Lights coming, but couldn’t tell which
Tracy calls to Johnny, “pass on by!”
Flames on the highway, couldn’t tell why
Wicked seemed weary, Just gotta fly
Truck on the shoulder, cuz the engine died.

Deep Purple Sage © 2018 W. Dire Wolff
Tribal Land Forbidden
Kiva land still hidden
In my heart those drums are still beating
Lonely whistle calling, “That freight train is coming back”
Across the deep purple sage
The sweet smell of sage…
White pony riding through a fiery night
Lost in the shadows of diamond star light
Catus tree is standing
Lonely whistle is calling
Lonely whistle is calling
Across the deep purple sage
The sweet smell of sage…
Tribal Land Forbidden
Kiva land still hidden
In my heart those drums are still beating
Lonely whistle calling, “That freight train is coming back”
Across the deep purple sage
The sweet smell of sage…

Library of Dreams © 2019 W. Dire Wolff
Such a little name
For such a little girl
But little girls grow up too.
Grew up on the mountain
Drove into the valley
To dance that old soft shoe.
Such a pretty city
Such a lovely view
Such a perfect place to design.
Two little big eyes
Stare through the time
From when it started until it all ends.
Alexandra, the woman
Alexandra, the queen
Alexandria the city
And the Library of Dreams.
Books of wisdom
Books of love
Books of magic and of light.
Books of mystery
Books of history
Books of Pharaoh and the five.
In Roman ages
They burned the pages
Of the scrolls that tell where we come from.
Now look at this lady
So cool and shady
A drift on a river of Psalms.
Alexandra, the woman
Alexandra, the queen
Alexandria the city
And the Library of Dreams.
